Alesso came into 2026 swinging strong: a huge collaboration with Pendulum, an iconic B2B with Martin Garrix on the Ultra main stage, and the commencement of his new show concept and tour, “The One.” Keeping his momentum (and also publishing the entire performance from Red Rocks, Colorado), Alesso now joins Canadian up-and-comer, JOA, on releasing their new single. ‘Turn Up The Bass’ is out today, on Body Hi.

‘Turn Up The Bass’ samples its vocals from Tyree Cooper’s identically-named 1988 hit and rapidly builds with a powerful bass line and intense synths. Unsurprisingly, the pulsating bass takes over the track, creating a satisfying rhythm punctuated by varying growls and roars. Sampled lyrics return during the record’s refrain, leading to a brief fake-out and eventual second drop even bigger than the first. With it’s unmatched presence, ‘Turn Up The Bass’ is perfectly constructed for massive festival moments as it maximizes energy and sets up audiences for whatever comes next.

One of the few unreleased tracks premiered during the aforementioned B2B with Martin Garrix, ‘Turn Up The Bass’ was an immediate crowd-hit, further elevating the legendary set. Since then, it continues energizing audiences in Alesso’s live shows and has received additional airtime in sets from Oliver Heldens, Nicky Romero and Korolova.

Alesso will continue his tour through the summer, with major club and festival appearances across the United States and Europe. JOA, following his string of successful releases, also has a busy schedule, with festival appearances of his own, as well as opening sets for Alesso and (previous-collaborator) Armin Van Buuren at their individual shows.
