EXIT Festival Debuts Starlight at Pyramids of Giza

Three-time European Best Major Festival winner EXIT is expanding its global reach with the launch of Starlight Festival, taking place October 8-11 near the Great Pyramids of Giza. The Serbian festival brand is partnering with Venture Lifestyle and its electronic music platform P+US to bring its first-ever Egyptian event to one of the world’s most iconic locations.

The lineup delivers serious firepower with Charlotte de Witte making her debut Egyptian performance, Michael Bibi bringing his sound to the pyramids for the first time, and Adriatique returning to the location after their previous show drew nearly 10,000 attendees. The roster also includes Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, and Enrico Sangiuliano, supported by dozens of regional and international artists.

Set against the desert backdrop of ancient civilization, Starlight aims to unite the global electronic music community in a setting shaped by thousands of years of history. The festival represents one of the strongest electronic lineups the region has seen to date.

Four-Day Festival Experience

The main festival nights will take place on October 9 and 10 near the pyramids, while opening and closing events will unfold across selected locations throughout Cairo. Across more than five festival stages and zones, Starlight will feature one of the world’s most advanced VR experiences, originally unveiled at Expo Dubai.

Following protocols for events in the area, Starlight will not be staged directly at the pyramids themselves. Instead, the ancient monuments will serve as a backdrop from a specially designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status.

Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival, emphasized the cultural significance of the venture. “It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience.“

The partnership reflects EXIT’s broader global expansion strategy. The festival has built its reputation over more than two decades in Europe, with its flagship event at Serbia’s Petrovaradin Fortress consistently ranking among the continent’s top festivals.

Rabih Mokbel, founder and CEO of Venture Lifestyle, highlighted the economic impact potential. “Working hand-in-hand with EXIT’s team, we expect Starlight to attract a significant number of international visitors and contribute tens of millions of dollars to Egypt’s tourism economy, while establishing a long-term platform for cultural exchange between Europe and the Middle East.“

Venture Lifestyle has established itself as a major player in Middle Eastern entertainment through its P+US platform, having previously produced Anyma’s Quantum Genesys at the Great Pyramids of Giza. The company specializes in large-scale cultural and live entertainment experiences across the region.
